Baulkham Hills High School Leos Bring Joy and Stationery Kits to Young Carers
The inspiring students from Baulkham Hills High School Leos Club have been hard at work making a tangible difference for young carers in our community. Through their initiative, dedication, and energy—holding community BBQs and delicious cake stalls—the Leos raised funds to purchase brand-new, essential stationery kits packed with all the school supplies a kid needs to thrive.
Recently, the Leos visited the CaringKids Toy Workshop to hand-deliver their donated stationery kits and immerse themselves in a morning of learning, community building, and fun:
- Young Carer Education Session: The students attended an insightful educational session to gain a deeper understanding of the vital role young carers play in their families and the unique challenges they face daily.
- Crafting for Joy Boxes: Putting their creative skills to use, the Leos participated in a craft activity making personalized keyrings to add extra warmth and cheer to our signature Joy Boxes.
- Packing & Play: After assembling Joy Boxes with care, the team wrapped up the morning with friendly competition over a giant game of Jenga.
