Westfield Eastgardens invites us to connect with our community and spread the word about CaringKids

The Westfield Eastgardens Centre Experience Team regularly invites charities and not-for-profit sport groups to connect with the local community to share their mission and raise awareness of their cause. They provide a designated community space within the shopping centre  to connect, share and inform the community about support services that are available.

The CaringKids Team met with members of the community at the  Community Desk to share more about how we bring joy to young carers with our Joy Boxes. We also answered questions about how members of the community can get involved and support our cause.

Margaret Skagias, CaringKids founder, won the Westfield Local Hero Award in 2020. Since that time, Westfield Eastgardens Centre Experience Team has provided CaringKids with continuous support to fill our Joy Boxes. They host toy drives and have provided a designated space to collect donations. The team also promote our volunteering opportunities and join us volunteering at our toy workshop.

Thank you to all the Westfield Eastgardens Centre Experience Team and the wider Westfield staff for your support.
