Paul Ramsay Foundation is one of Australia’s largest charitable foundations. Their purpose is to help end cycles of disadvantage in Australia by enabling equitable opportunity for people and communities to thrive.
This Christmas, the PRF team partnered with CaringKids to host a staff volunteering event. The team created 70 Backpacks for young carers filled with school supplies, and filled 70 Joy Boxes with toys, games and sports equipment.
The team made their way to Officeworks in Pitt Street, Sydney. Officeworks staff were on-hand to support the team with a unique shopping experience. The PRF team hand-selected items to reflect the age and interests of each young carer, completing their Backpacks with a hand-written note.
The PRF team also presented CaringKids with a surprise $1,680 cheque to create more Joy Boxes! These funds were kindly raised and donated by SCEGGS students via the sale of Christmas Tree ornaments.
We know how much young carers will enjoy receiving their Backpacks and Joy Boxes.
