Workday supports their team to bring joy to young carers

Thank you Workday for supporting your employees to volunteer at CaringKids through your charitable donation matching and volunteer rewards program.

Workday Giving & Doing empowers their Workmates to live their purpose of inspiring a brighter work day for all. They support and encourage volunteering activities, including providing financial support to the chosen charity.

Opportunity in Action is Workday’s bold commitment to challenge Workday employees to donate 250,000 hours of their time in 2023 to create opportunity for all.

Whether through mentoring, tutoring, building up under-resourced communities, supporting jobseekers, standing up with social justice organisations, or the multitude of other ways they create opportunity for all … every hour counts!

Andy Barron, Principal Consultant at Workday joined the CaringKids volunteer team over a year ago. Andy volunteers to bring joy to children caring for family members living with a disability.

Andy sorts incoming donations and packs Joy Boxes for young carers, filled with toys, games. school stationery and sports equipment. These Joy Boxes provide young carers with play and childhood experiences, as well as recognition for all they do providing care and support for their loved one.

Thank you Andy and Workday for your commitment to help us make an impact upon the lives of young carers and for creating an opportunity for all.
