A huge thank you and hello to our supporters of the Leo Club of Kenmore State High School Brisbane. They have generously donated $1000 to create Joy Boxes for young carers, via the ‘Lions in Support of CaringKids Charity Project’.
As the youngest members of the Lions organisation, Leos are devoted young people who realise the power of action. Through service to their community, they make the world a better place and find their own lives improved too.
Leo clubs may be based within a school or in the local community. A member of the sponsoring Lions club is appointed as a Leo Club Advisor, and school-based clubs will often also have a staff member to assist.
Georgia Bailey (Lions CaringKids Project Committee) was awarded the Australian Leo of the Year 2023 and more recently named the International Leo of the Year 2024. Georgia is a great advocate of Leo’s Clubs and volunteers tirelessly to support and encourage the creation of more Leo’s Clubs.
