The Crown Sydney workforce came together to host a CaringKids ‘Return to School’ donation drive
CaringKids prepare Joy Boxes for young carers filled with toys, games, school stationery and sports equipment and ship them to the doorstep of children across Australia. The children and their parents regularly share feedback about how helpful it is to receive new stationery packs and supplies, and how this support helps their children to have all the tools they need to get the most out of their education.
Leanne Pyne, CaringKids, caught up with Abbey Dawson, People and Culture Coordinator at Crown Sydney to collect the donations to fill the Joy Boxes and thanked the team for hosting a donation drive in support of CaringKids.
“These donations have come at just the right time for the start of the school year”, shared Leanne. “Thank you to all the Crown Sydney team for gifting stationery supplies to these children. With 2-3 young carers in every classroom, and many experiencing the impact of social isolation and financial hardship, we are always in need of quality stationery donations to support young carers. Your support means so much to these young carers and their families.”
