With the colder weather settling in and school holidays approaching, CommBank branch staff members across Sydney are joining forces to warm our hearts by hosting the biggest workplace toy drive yet, during the month of June!

Building on the success of CommBank workforce drives in previous years, more Commbank branches are joining in this year to host toy collections for CaringKids at the following NSW branches:

  • Bondi Junction
  • Randwick
  • Westfield Eastgardens
  • Hurstville
  • Miranda
  • Rockdale
  • Double Bay
  • Kingsford
  • Cronulla
  • Engadine
  • Kogarah
  • Menai
  • Rose Bay
  • Sylvania
  • Potts Point
  • Redfern
  • Broadway

We are delighted to have the support of the CommBank branches and staff.

The CommBank CaringKids Toy Drive support will help us to create school holiday fun for children caring for family members living with a disability or illness by filling up our Joy Boxes with toys, games school stationery and sports equipment.

Thank you, Elle Stepanyants, Customer Banking Manager Maroubra Branch, for warmly welcoming us to the branch to share more ideas about how we can work together to support young carers in our community.

During our visit Elle shared resources CommBank have developed to support people of different abilities with their banking, called the Equal Access Toolkit. The toolkit makes it easier for their customers to bank independently, and contents include:

  • communication cards and boards
  • jumbo pens
  • magnifying tools
  • accessibility videos
  • high contrast clipboards and keyboards, and much more!

Discover the range of tools available at branches that can assist everyone to bank independently.

Did you know CommBank customer-facing teams can assist customers who wear a Hidden Disabilities Sunflower symbol as part of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program? The Sunflower is a discreet symbol that allows customers and their carers to voluntarily share with others they have a disability or condition that may not be immediately apparent, and that they may need extra time, support or understanding.

The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program complements CommBank’s Equal Access Toolkit that we know you will love to hear more about.

Thank you CommBank Team.
