Jan Hatch – Chair

Jan has worked in the health and community sector for over 30 years. She was responsible for setting up the first national telephone helpline for carers in the UK in 1989 and it was here that she became award (should be aware) of young people who were providing significant personal and emotional care for a parent.

She was the Director of Services for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Great Britain for 8 years and since immigrating to Australia in 2001 she has worked as a consultant for Executive Directions. She is on the board of Life Circle Australia and volunteers at Cancer Council NSW as a telephone support group facilitator.

Jan holds an MA in Social and Public Policy and a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling. She has an Advanced Diploma in Interior Design.
